Yes I do live in WA. No I'm not going to FC. I know a couple people that will probably take the train.

You'll have to check the Amtrak site. I don't know what station you would be near. You're looking for the Coast Starlight which takes about 38+ hours to go from Seattle to LA. A ticket to San Jose looks like it would be $95 coach. A room costs quite a bit more.

if i go, I will take the plane. Montreal to Cali, 2 ways, is 460$ with Tax. so, WA to Cali must be lot cheaper =)

it's cheaper to travel during the weekend on amtrak, if you're a student anywhere you can get a student discount. A sleeper car (which you probably won't need) is 400$ more on your ticket. There's also a taxi to consider from the station to the convention site and a lot of other stuff. A round trip ticket should be around 200$-250$
