Fans of transformation should dig the Sugar Sugar music video as well -- and frankly, Reggie looks a lot better as a cute frog.

Archie once introduced "Mr Factory" by saying, "And now for a song that you'll never forget..." Darned if he wasn't right! Believe it or not, that clip was actually one of the more upbeat versions of the song -- at least Jughead managed to save the little fish. A different animated version showed the fish already dead, and when the "birds are disappearing" line was sung, a bird was shown being overcome by smog and dropping lifelessly from the sky to land right next to the dead fish. Pretty heavy stuff for a kid's Saturday morning show!

I remember that one; the kids were walking to school in oxygen masks, and one shot showed the gauge reading nearly zero... Heavy stuff.

Mr Factory was always a favorite of mine when I was a kid.

Furries: Think what you will about Filmation, but they gave us the animated Star Trek. Which gave us Lt. Mress. Nuff said!

I always had mixed feelings about the Filmation shows; I liked some of them, but they were usually the earlier series, like the Superman-Aquaman Hour and the Archie shows, but going into the 70's the shows were just too obvious about cutting corners -- the animation seemed stiff, except for when they were rotoscoped, and there was a lot of repetition of scenes or specific actions. I think the last Filmation show I watched regularly and enjoyed was probably the Fat Albert show.

Wow, that's a great playlist -- you even got that "Aesop" special in there. I was considering featuring that one at a later date.
