Yes, that is Muttski, Sonic's pet dog from the previous Sonic comics and Sonic SatAM cartoon. For some reason, they decided to turn him into a full-fledged anthro Mobian character and pair him up with Uncle Chuck (now a doctor) as his assistant. I... am not sure what to feel with this. I will, though, unfortunately expect lots of Rule 34 of him in the coming months. It'll be inevitable.
BTW, anyone else think he looks similar to Earthworm Jim's Peter Puppy?
