it would eventually,for me it was getting past the not being able to look where i was drawing(eyes on computer hands on tablet) that was the problem after that its pretty much like drawing normally.

This is just a matter of practice--we already have the hand-eye coordination for the mouse and the keyboard. In the case of the graphics tablet your main issue would be getting the right tilt of the device.

$10, or did you mean $100? At $10 that'd be impossible, at $100 I'd have to find out. What I can tell you is that it won't be a Wacom, unless it's one of the cheaper models already used.

There are some effects that are best achieved with greater manual control but instead working directly on the digital piece--this is where the graphics tablet becomes most useful. I'm just getting started, as mine is soon to be 3 weeks old.

Those sound awesome! But probably waay to expencive for me.

There's another advantage I'm yet to try--visual art livestreams. Unless you're OK with setting up a camera to point at your drawing paper/clipboard/pad/canvas, streaming a video of your monitor works more neatly. Also, it makes it easier to make drawings with less intermediate steps (hand-ink-scan-color-shade-effects becomes draw-color-shade-effects)

I mostly just used the line-art tool on paint tool SAI, and my computer can't livestream. But if nothing else, I think I have a better grip on how others perform their art. (hand-ink-scan-color-shade-effects or draw-color-shade-effects)
