An Open Letter to Mr. Orson Scott Card.

Forever
Dear Mr. Card,
Let me start by saying how I have always had nothing but the utmost respect for you. I think you have a brilliant mind. Yes we do disagree on a few issues pertaining to marriage. I never have held anything you said or wrote against you. I also think these things can and sometimes do get discussed by both sides rationally and fairly. I myself am no wordsmith and don't claim to speak for the LGBT community personally. If I had to choose a champion to defend my point of view in a serious debate with learned scholars on both sides, I would chose John Corvino (not lady GaGa). If you ever cross pens with him, you can assume I pretty much agree with anything he says (except when I don't),
So I am sorry if you have been suffering from meaningless insults and boycott demands you have received over the internet. A great wise sage one said something to the effect of, "the internet is more or less diametrically opposed to the concept of quality control." My personal stand is this, and it is always open for revision depending on fact checking, as a founding member of Nom you helped launched several boycott calls for any company you think supports gay marriage. I proudly support Lgbt equality and disagree so I can't in good conscience see the movie.
Not that I have any moral objections ( I do but they are irrelevant) but because I am fulfilling a long held childhood ambition of being a broke college student.
I may Netflix it later.
While I do apologize for not fact checking I did 99& of research for this letter on Wikipedia. Which I also feel obligated to apologize for.
PS I am sorry for not sending you a copy of this letter in advance, normally I am meticulously particular about any public figures I write about. But I cannot possible talk to you is anyway until you decide to break the silence and say if the Descolada is Raman or Varlse. Unless I change my mind.
Sincerely
a fan
