FurFright Report and Life Update

FurFright:
Hey all, just finally making my FurFright report journal. Once I finally figured out a way to get there (see the life section below), it was a pretty good time. Had a blast rooming with
jouva
kivu
kairoo. Was nice to meet or remeet them again.
Overall, FurFright was mixed for me. Some good times and definitely some revelations. The bad definitely convinced me that for too long I was too focused on trying to be friends with the wrong crowd. So now I'm trying to reconnect with the good friends I had been ignoring (which has made things a lot better). Only made one panels. There were a couple others I wanted to make, but time just didn't work out. Other then roaming the dealers den and making the events in the ballroom, just spent my time wandering around and hanging out with the people I ran into. I did miss the dance competition, which bummed me as there were friends and acquaintances that were competing, but timing that evening was just off.
I'd try to list all the the people I hung out with, but I'd forget some so just gonna say it was a lot of Mass Furs and some furs I know from online. It was also a blast to give a ride to
Border-Walker both to and from FurFright. Much fun time was had and that trip goes so much faster with company then by yourself.
Life:
Well, for those who haven't heard, the Monday right before FurFirght, the guy in front of me at the toll plaza backed up into me when trying to change lanes (he got into the wrong one, panicked, and rather then you know, try to work things out with the Plaza staff, decided to throw his truck into reverse and hit the gas as he didn't think anyone was behind him. Surprise to him I was). So while the damage wasn't too severe, the mileage and age of my car worked against me, and it was declared a total. Trying to take this as a blessing in disguise. The car was approaching 200,000 miles, and well, probably didn't have much time left anyways. So getting the full value for the car without having to try to sell it is probably best. So right now looking around to see what is there and hopefully will be able to get a new car soonish. Still have to wrestle with the company representing the guy at fault to see about getting a rental, or at the very least, reimbursed for getting one to be able to make FurFright.
On the note of FurFright, had the room I was staying in not been in my name, I wouldn't have gone and been responsible. Just didn't feel it was fair to cancel the room last minute and leave my roommates without a space to crash. And honestly, after that week with the car thing, really just needed to get away and have a blast.
