This is indeed a very sad time. It's always awful losing someone that close to you.

But let's look on the bright side. You have closure, his condition is no longer worrisome, and you know he was able to go out relatively comfortably. All things considered, if it HAD to happen, at least it went smoothly and with the least amount of pain and suffering. :3
