I also just really, really like how X & Y play. I feel more attached than I did with the other pokemon.
And if you bond with your team, you get a lot of adorable flavor text and benefits.

If you have money to spare, that's fine. Ben and I were planning to put our old Pokemon games towards our preorder for PS4 since X & Y are the best, imo. I think Soul Silver goes for 30-35$ used? It's just sitting in my Hello Kitty game holder. Only reason I haven't turned it in yet is because they're going to offer a cloud program to upload your pokemon from past games, so I'm holding out to transfer over my favorite babies before I get rid of it. Hopefully it'll release soon, I'm antsy, haha.

You have some time, don't stress. I think the Pokemon Bank is to release Dec 27th in the states, ughhh. So, if you don't mind the wait I'd be more than happy to help you out. (Article on the release date for the Pokemon Bank: http://guardianlv.com/2013/11/pokem.....ate-confirmed/) It's going to be super helpful if it works like they imply it will. I do know that the first month the service is active, it will be free, then I think they're going for a free of $5 a year. I can't really blame them? Pokemon is a HUGE game, can you imagine keeping up all those servers to the masses for free? Nintendo would take a hit, that's for sure.
