help making a new character?

I'd like to make a new character. It will be a macro male and I'd like some input on it :3
What species do you think he should be?
Thoughts on size? Should he be a mini-macro or larger?
Do you think he should have size changing powers, or should he be stuck at a certain size?
I'd like to hear what you guys think :)

What species do you already have?
How about choosing a stereotypical species (fox, wolf, rabbit, etc...) but make it your own by coming up with a really unique personality. That way folk will remember the character for how he acts and behaves rather than his powers.
His species being "ordinary" could make for a blank canvas of sorts.
I like the personality idea. I've been reading a bit about characterization lately and it might be fun to delve into what type of person I am to see if I can develop a character that is my exact opposite :p
And if you're still taking suggestions, maybe a macro who's size changes on a strangely fixed schedule every day. It may change a little bit, or drastically, but for some reason everyday at both noon and midnight, there's a shift. His size can be anything from 20 feet on up into infinity, and its completely random. Could lead in a lot of fun directions -- most of them being up. 0:3
Just an idea. Take it or leave it at your leisure, of course ^^
(Also, I tried not to read the comments above so I could come up with my own thought, so if someone else has a similar idea that they posted first, I apologize.)
