Yeah, my mother told me that too when I came out. I think a LOT of people nowadays say that. Whether or not it's true has yet to be seen. It might be a way of trying to comfort people, or it may just be that when they look back, they can see the signs. Personally, I knew my mother was bullshitting, since I came out before most people even get interested in the other gender. But meh, it'll work out regardless, I have faith in it.

It's always a tough thing to think about. My advice is to try not to stress out about it too much. People always told me not to rush "coming out" and "You'll know when it's time and when you are ready". Well I'm here to tell you the same thing because they were absolutely right. I felt the right moment when it was time to tell my friends and my parents. It took my mom time to be comfortable with it, and now I tell her the details of who I'm dating and what kind of person he seems to be. I don't know how old you are, but I didn't come out until I was around 25. Just know that there are always people who care about you and who love you no matter what, so even if things go south, never feel like you're alone. Hope this helps and know that you're loved!

You will know when the time comes, and when you feel more comfortable. Just relax, don;t rush a thing, be happy, things will eventually go as they have to.

As for the part when they say that everybody already knows, well, if they do or if they don't, that means that they continue to care for you and love you as you are, So does it really matter if you make it official? Just continue your life as happy as you can, and that is all that matters ^^

You have friends here and in many places around you, and no matter what happens you will always have them, so, cheer up and be happy ^^

This is often the case..we try and hide who we are, and yet those closest to us figure it out anyway, because they know us. Luckily it seems that when they figured it out it didn't change how they treated you, since you didn't say anyone, particularly your dad, turned on you...
