When I originally designed Vincent Winterwind Linus (I still love the hippie middle name) I had the idea that he would have no "default" form, being a different shape in each of my stories. This is great from a writer's viewpoint, since it leads to all kinds of creativity, but not so much from an artist's viewpoint, who has to draw him and make it clear that it's Vinnie, even if his mouth is closed. So I've come to embrace the arctic fox form as the one he chooses as his default.

So when I picked arctic fox for his shape in Eager Beagle, I did so for a couple of reasons.
1. He wanted a form that would blend into a crowd, and I wanted to make a sort-of joke about how foxes are mad popular in the fandom.
2. White fur from head to toe makes it really easy to describe transformation scenes.

As it happens, the idea behind the two stories with  Seren_Tremio in them at least is that he picked the fox at random, expecting to use it for a few months, tops, only to want to keep using it in order to spend more time with the people he met in that shape.

So I can appreciate the irony that a shape that I picked out of the air for him to pick out of the air has become his default appearance. It's a good thing he looks good in white.
