Cigar Review of the Week: Torano Vault d-042

General
This week's review is from
junowolf with another pick. :3
The Torano Vault d-042
Knowing Carlos Torano Family Cigars,
you're smoking probably one of, if not the OLDEST
yet some still debate the FIRST major Brand from the
beginning of Co. What I can suggest you all do is
look them up and you'll be surprised by the history of them.
I will admit, my favorite of the Torano line is
The Vault, but when I was introduced to the new d-042
blend a couple of weeks ago, it intrigued me to be curious.
From the red and gold band label to the Habano wrapper, I was drawn in.
Country of Origin: Nicaragua
Factory: Plasencia Cigars S.A.
Wrapper: Ecuadoran Habano
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua & Pennsylvania
Medium-Full Bodied
Pre-Light:
From the Habano Wrapper's strong appearanceand intimmedating
color, it was sure to pack a punch, until I noticed the sweet notes. X3
Lighting and first half:
The first few puffs start off with a big big kicker, but leave off an oaky
or cedary after puff taste, but smoothens out at the beginning of the
halfway segment.
Halfway-Near finnish:
From the harshenss of the first half, it's slowly built up punch smoothens out
to a sweet and oaky flavor from the after tastes. Surprising from start to finnish
it goes to from harsh to gentle, even for a robusto. :3
Overall thoughts:
For someone to have a combo of tastes from either one thing with spice and pep
to a sweet sweet finnish, it's def a one that should be saved for an extra special occasion.
I would also add, to let it age a bit before lighting up as well. All and all, give it a try. :3
Well guys another one down out of the thousands of choices guys.
