Another Meme Thing (Rigby)
BEHOLD MY THUNDERING WORDS MORTAL So I decided to redo this questionaire in the hopes that it would help me develop my new character. Here it goes.
Pick one of your characters. Give this character's name, age, species and a single-sentence description.
Rigby van Ghent (Captain Blackwater), aged 24, Tiger Shark. He's a pirate.
Do you use said character for...
Eh, to a degree yes.
Fiction you draw/write?Rigby is purpose built to tell a story about me if I had become a pirate at some point.
In-character roleplay? Haven't gotten to try that with him yet. Looking forward to the first time I do!
MMOs or other types of games? He's a little too young to be in there yet.
Fursuiting? Probably not.
Other uses? Every day is Talk Like a Pirate Day
How long has this character existed, including previous versions?
A little less than a month now.
Does your character physically resemble you in any way?
He looks an awful lot like me. That was one of my reasons for making him in the first place. He's got the same color hair and eyes and flaunts the same body shape and facial hair I do.
What trait about your character is the most like you?
Look's a lot like me except sharkier. We also hold to the same morals and love of freedom and independence.
What trait about your character is the least like you?
Rigby has gone through a lot worse than I have in terms of life. He's more cantankerous and cynical than me.
Does your character have something you've always wanted? Do they do anything you've always wanted to do?
To be honest not a whole lot. I do admire his independence and jagged edge though.
Did your character originate in someone else's fictional universe? If so, whose?
He exists in a universe where everything is the same as our own universe, but furries.
Is your character presently still a part of that universe?
Yes, for now. In some universes I like to think he's a different kind of pirate.
How did you come up with the qualities of your character?
They said I could be anything, so I became a scurvy dog.
Did any historical figures, fictional figures, or people you know/knew influence your character?
Part of his character development came from the original Blackbeard the pirate.
What physical/mental changes has your character gone through since its creation?
None so far. I imagine he'd be pretty closed off to any kind of internal changes.
If your character was a real person you knew, how well do you think you'd get along with them?
I think I'd be scared to so much as look him in the eye.
What is your character's biggest vice?
His lust for money and his irresponsible use of said money.
What would someone find if they looked through your character's pack (or purse, bundle, backpack, pocket, etc)?
A fist full of coin, some extra rounds of black powder and shot, an astrolabe, a compass, some poorly scrawled notes with with a few doodles of nude women, a farmer's sickle that's been bent into a hook and sharpened on the outside edge, and an envelope with an amber wax seal left unopened bearing the crest of some unknown family.
What is one thing your character will never, ever, EVER do?
Betray his crew. He selected his crew from experience and has suffered with them through so much. They're all he really has.
And lastly, if you had to write an ending for your character and never use them again, what would the ending be like? Happily ever after? Blaze of glory? Fate catching up to them?
I don't really know how to answer that. I like to imagine he'd hang up his cutlass for good and seek a plump maid to call his wife, but I know that can't really happen for him. Not after what he's done.
