So, I got banned for three days for something I didn't even do. Nice.
I had time to think about things, and I realized that I don't want to give FA any more ad revenue. From now on, I will be posting my art on Tumblr. Followers, fear not! I'm going to post journal entries here every time I put a new pic on Tumblr, so you won't miss out on anything.
Feel free to post here and ask any questions / offer any comments. Here are pre-emptive answers to some questions you might be thinking of!
Q: Why not InkBunny?
A: I have an account there, but after uploading a few pics, people asked me to draw cub art and I realized it wasn't the right place for me.
Q: Why not Weasyl?
A: I hear Weasyl is great, but it requires you to have an account to view adult art, which Tumblr does not.
Q: Why did you get banned?
A: A couple months ago, Ruuki asked me to ink/color/shade a sketch of hers. I did so (and did a pretty amazing job, I think!). After I posted it, someone told me she traced the sketch's pose from someone else. I asked her about it and she said that, while she did use the same pose, it wasn't traced. I figured that, since re-using a pose wasn't against the TOS or against any copyright laws, it wouldn't be a problem. Heck, if anyone had asked me to take it down, I would have.
But nope, 3 day ban. Honestly, I was furious at first, and even now, I'm still quite upset. I know I'm not a popular artist here, but I still know a lot of friends just from FA, and not even being able to see their comments was terrible. I was not paid for this picture, I did not know it used someone else's pose, and I didn't break any law.

But serious note is that the world have gone down a step further by this form of insult..
Something have really messed up quite a bit if FA doing this kind of crap, why would they remove it, if no one was paid for the picture as it follows the fair usage law.. Also the owner of the drawn picture is even giving the permission to color it.. Whats the big problem.. No one is earning any bloody money and you cannot draw poses? Since when? I have seen million of poses around the net, but no one really goes around and sue them for it,
I must say I rarely complain, but when stupid comes around.. I feel like it's needed to say/show displeasure.. Cause it's just dumb really really dumb

no one wants to talk to solve an issue anymore. all i see around here now is "oh theres a problem. welp, easy the solution is a ban."
and its over the dumbest of things too. its ridiculous =3=
Though, I can see that pic broke the "no heavily referenced stuff" rule that's in the AUP, Now it says "which has been traced or plagiarized" but it's the same rule. I dunno the original pic your pic was "traced/heavily reffed" from, so I can't compare, but it seems an admin thought it was too close.
Either way, if you make a tumblr I will follow you there too ^w^

Someone suggested SoFurry, which might also be something to check out. Have any experience with it?
