Why don't people commission me?
Are my prices to high?
Am I unapproachable?
Do you just not like me?
I know some people don't have money, but when people do, and they commission all these other artist, yet they say "oh, I don't have enough to get any art from you" it kinda makes you think, you know? Like, you spend hundreds on art, yet you "don't have enough" for art from me?
SORRY BUT IT WORRIES ME

I want people to come to me, not me going to them and asking them to commission me
O
O OKAY
An art trade it is :E
And I have to pick and choose what I wanna work on.
This time I choose to spend money on projects for myself to work on....
namely cause I've been..... ill and unstable
I need to focus on something else and focus on me...
I have the same problem :/ i lowered my priced MEGA cheap and still get nothing
and when they have money i think they wanna commission bigger artists :/
just my theory.
I've only ever been able to afford one commission so far from a bear artist friend dude thanks to my lack of job and my habit of spending on collectibles =w= =m=
If I did commission you, it'd be for one of your cute couple pieces .
I dunno, Glo.
I don't think people realize how much it hurts that they will buy art from everyone but you, and then give you excuses why they cant buy your art. -.-'
1. Free art. Raffles. Stuff that furries love man. When free art is mentioned people come. Now I like to advertise with a stream images when I do freebies. People see the free art stream they come check you out. And if they like what you draw they watch you.
2. Stream. Alot of people like watching you draw art. They also like seeing the commission they got being worked on. Also helps with working with your watchers and making friends.
3. Advertise. Dont be afraid to mention when you submit a drawing that your open for commissions. Or when you post a stream image mention that your open for commissions. Dont be afraid to advertise.
4. Be professional. This one can be hard cause there are alot of people out there that will cause you pain to work with. You just need to work with professional manner and try not to give the person a reason to throw people against you. Granted this happens even to the best people. I think you seen all the drama that comes with being a popular artist.
5. Make a Terms of Service. Make it known what you do and what you dont do. Do you take awhile to work on commissions? Make that known. Have a refund policy? Make it known. The more info a commissioner has the more they can consider to commission you. Its nice to know more.
ummm i think i got most of the tips down X3 if anyone wants to throw some tips in or even what you guess like to see from artists when you commission them feel free to comment!
but ye
I know of several artist who are under you in skill(no offence meant to those), that make a living out of only doing commissions. but they advertise the heck out of it, and spend a ton of time on fixing stuff to have a lot of options available.
For prices, I think we are approx on the same level in price, and I have yet to have someone complain about them. (only gotten two commissions since I opened in October though)
but ye, advertise the F out of yourself :D that is atleast my plan for january /when exams are over
I think they are amazing deals for the turn out time on them!
