confused after her bath she got dressed into a clean blue kimono she walks down the hall to a guest room here Atlas the otter is napping on the floor Night throughs the challis at him and slams the door stupid invading otter interruption during my bath she mumbled looing out the window seeing it was later than she had thought she went to the kitchen she scavenges the fridge for food as Lyan a two tone blue and white dog with two color eyes walks in she taps her on the shoulder and speaks softly Night where all having dinner in the dining room if you would like to join us she replies no thanks Lyan as she grabs an arm full of food and walks away Lyan shrugs and goes back into the dining rom Night goes outside to the back porch and sits on her favorite rock beside a big pond the sun setting she eats her snack she enjoys the cool breeze through her fur she watches the moon rise and feels in her heart the urge once again to sing her heart out she starts off at a hum and the forms her words
Silver light
She turned her face up to the starlit sky
And on this night began to wonder why
She knew that soon the day would come
Born to be
An heir of beauty and serenity
Into this world she entered quietly
To her surprise she was the one
Destiny was close behind her
Phantom of borrowed life
And the sea was a reminder
Mirror of given light
Then one day
The sign she'd waited for in skies of grey
Traversed a winding road and came her way
She found the love she hoped she would
But she knew
That she had promises to stay true to
The dormant daughter of the silver moon
Then all at once she understood
Destiny was close behind her
Phantom of borrowed life
And the sea was a reminder
Mirror of given light
From the sky
She watched the life
She'd known she would leave behind
Said goodbye
And gave her people
Life through her sacrifice
as her song ends she lays back on the rock and slowly drifts off the sound of pond water....
