Oh come on it wasnt that ba- why the fuck is korra a blue jolly green giant, why did they kill all semblence of the last airbender, why did they kill the spirits of all previous avatars, why is unalocs plan to become a giant red tentacle monster, why is- ya know why, why does this show even excist?

That and what the fuck is with all the shipping? :1 I DON'T CARE ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY'RE SHOVED DOWN MY THROAT. The world was ending and it was, all, "HERPDERP, LET'S ADD MORE IDIOTIC DRAMA AND ONCE AGAIN POOP ALL OVER ASAMI LIKE EVERYONE ALWAYS SEEMS TO-- WITHOUT HER SEEMING TO CARE-- AND NOT RESOLVE THAT." :1 It's one thing if the main plot is bad (which, ohmageeerrrddd was terrible), but all the B-stories were idiotic too. I found myself caring more about the Tenzin plot, AND THAT WAS JUST THEM WALKING AROUND A TEMPLE. FFFFFS.

I did like the Wan origin story though, even if it broke the continuity with the original series a bit. o:

Yes. Yes it was.

Season 1 was decent; season 2 is probably gonna be labeled as worse because it's no. 2, so it can't be too bad.

That only makes sense when the first in the series is some kind of un-matchable giant. Like having a really good movie and then deciding to make a meh sequel. That doesn't when the first season of Korra was only okay at best. The first season suffered from poor, speedy pacing, pointless B-stories (namely the constant relationship ups-and-downs), and lack of any kind of character development. Amon was probably one of the coolest villains I've seen, but in the finale they turned around and made him flat, boring, and needlessly evil (which that copied for season 2 with the amazingly flat and needless Unalaq). In the pilot they clearly demonstrated that the benders were abusing their power against the non-benders when the gangs were attacking the non-bender shops, but then the conflict became about how the non-benders were now suddenly super evil and apparently the benders couldn't do anything to stop them, even though the benders were a large portion of the city. When Amon was defeated, everything was somehow magically okay, even though the main issue of the benders abusing their powers and the original cause of the uprising remained. When you have something that integral to your central plot and you don't resolve it, it makes your story look flat and poorly thought out. Avatar: The Last Airbender was about a struggle against a family that had grown to have mental deficiencies due to the large amount of power they were taking for themselves, and how that abuse of power and devastation was affecting a world that so desperately needs to maintain balance. The Legend of Korra was about a spunky girl fighting a mask-wearing bad guy who had no clear motivation, above a deep and complex issue that was not resolved and frankly not even touched on outside of the pilot.

Season 2? It was just bad. x3

I will concede, however, that if you weren't The Legend of Korra up against Avatar: The Last Airbender, it probably wouldn't be that bad. But it was in the same world and so it's obligated to follow the same rules, which it really didn't.

It's just my opinion, man; don't worry about it. E=/
