I almost forgot that this update was coming up till I turned back on my Xbox.
It's looking snazzy so far. A lot nicer to look at too.. yet there's freezes here and there. But then again, it has just released.
As for the avatars, I would put in an obligatory 'they took the mii system from the wii' comment, but chances are, it's been said many, many times before. Instead, I think they are pretty neat. A lot more mature than the Miis, yet not *as* customizable as I would think. But still neat, nevertheless.

This is what mine looks like. :P
The Avatars are a bit of a gimmick but what the hey :P
My only real complaint is all the unnecessary graphical stuff, like the long, long, long, long scrolling list for your Friends which takes forever to load in everyone's Avatar :P
Though at least you can still view things like Friends and the Marketplace in normal lists with the Guide button.
I just wish there was more customization options for avatars.
