Let me get my Exploring Hat. This is one exciting adventure that could not possibly go horribly wrong in any way whatsoever.

This is why you add people you know like vore and rp or move to more populous sites that aren't overrun completely with 'hooomans' such as F-List.

I do that, and then they disappear from the IMs I add them to, or they're just never in the mood to play, despite being initially interested. I'd start to worry that it's a problem they have with me personally, but we don't even end up talking enough to logically get that far.

I suppose I'm desperate enough at this point to try F-list... though I've not been happy with what I've seen in some of these larger communities. They're filled with OOC chatter and people with serious attitude problems.

I'm the chan op myself for the Vore room so I can let ya know in advance it can be quite quiet at points and theres a fair amount of OOC chatter in public but it's not uncommon for public RP to occur there and to my knowledge there is plenty of RP going on behind the scenes in PMs.

I'll give it a try soon.

So, Yum Chat is just a tiny vore roleplaying chatroom administrated by  prowler7. Since it has such a small userbase, I think it has the potential to feel a little more personal, not like a bunch of people looking for a quick vore fix as quickly as possible.

Despite what it may sound like with this journal, I'd be delighted to play with someone longer-term with similar interests.

XD I feel like that sometimes. Though, I'm not terribly interested in invertebrates, arachnids, or insects... I think it's cause I find them super creepy and I go running for the hills when I see big ones...cept for slugs. I just...watch them, cause they're slow and silly.

I'm being silly. I like all sorts of critters, as long as they aren't near-hairless and walk on two legs.

I'm totally no stranger to hearing that. I just wish that more people would come to me when they're on and willing for a while. I work daytime on weekdays, and may get temporarily tied up with other tasks from time to time. But most times, I'd probably be willing to drop whatever I'm doing for vore.

Anyway, I know I go out there looking for an RP and find one, and then never find that person again. I think it has to do a lot with the "Want something new and exciting... done it... no longer new and exciting." I do that a lot, probably. I've learned over time that if it's just the same person or thing, it's ... the same. Nothing different, nothing changes. In a lot of cases I could copy/paste last time's encounter and they'd probably be happy [as that seems to be what they're posting to me.]

I think a few things also have to do with the kinda vore you're into and what you're actually looking for. Mine is kinda "hard" but still soft, with a definite bad ending. Also, I like scenes and settings. I want there to be a solid believable reason for the event to be occuring, and most people [that I've run into] really like to just "*Nuzzle* Hungry?" and go flying off the hook when you suggest anything like "Motive" or what not. "OMG, I hate setting scenes! I don't want to predict things!" ... mind you, I don't want to predict things either, and to me a place, a time, and a motive aren't predicting things!

But ya... RP... PFFFFFFFFFFFFTTT!!! Gotten tired of it =( Wish I hadn't! But thems the breaks.

I am totally, 100% with you on all of that, and have definitely run into the situations you describe. If given the chance, though, I greatly enjoy the chance of improvising in a unique situation, and that's where some of my most memorable voreplays have come from.

It's crazy because it doesn't even take a whole lot of effort to mad-lib together a decent and unique scenario. A giant slobbering slugbeast does not eat the same way as a dragon-eating anaconda does not eat the same way as a Giant Ethereal Web-Spinning Soul-Eating Spider and its friend the Gigantic Physical Body-Eating Tree.

Then is the prey persuadable, or scared, or angry, or supposedly more powerful than the pred so it's surprising that they get the tables turned on them? And how many are there? One is not eaten the same way as ten. And with ten, the other nine get to watch and wait their turn, which is even more fun! Or maybe one prey-to-be is feeding the others to the pred. Or maybe both players are prey. Or maybe both players are preds.

And then where are you? A laboratory? A mucky swamp? In cages? Knocked out and transported somewhere unknown? A demonic dimension?

There's so many permutations, I think you have to try hard to get bored. Yet you never have to plan -- just set the scene with a quick and simple premise, and off you go. It doesn't happen often, but I'd even ADORE it if I was supposedly the predator, and got the tables turned on me by surprise.

But the best way to get to those unique scenarios... is to play with the same person. So you can learn and expand off of what you already know you both like, and what you've done before. "It was awesome when we did X. Wouldn't it be even cooler if we added Y to it?"
