personally, i think the ability to like...pause time for short periods would be cool .w. it would kinda be like teleportation, in a way . like... you can stop time and tamper with things for ten seconds before everything returns.. but now youre in a new spot .w.

I've always considered the possibility of slowing down time by simply accelerating perception... that way your brain would be working faster so time would appear slower

Ability to cause something to become super dense would be useful offensively and defensively. Be like a tank, except it then eats you after smashing you into a wall or causing your shirt to become so rigid that you can't move.

Alternatively, air manipulation would be at least partially useful as well since you could create a concussive shockwave.

Or... sensory manipulation. Nothing says screw you like searing pain. Or turning the sky red and flipping everything. Or just forcing a series of random images, sounds, tastes, smells, and touch sensations into someone's head to make them questions wtf is going on.

On one side it is an awesome way to sneak up to your prey, no matter where it is, even in the safest places (like bunkers etc.), on the other side there are few things more horrible than not only being catched by a large, fierce predator knowing you are about to be food, but also knowing that even if you manage to escape, you are in a strange world with no way to come back. Probably this world is filled with preds of the same species as well and they just come into the other dimension to feast upon its citizens... Oh well, I am thinking a bit far now, but you know what I mean xP

Alter the direction of lightwaves to make it appear as though the user is in an altogether separate place. Could also be used to project multiple images of a single object. Alternatively, replace the light from a doorway with the light from a solid wall, so that it appears as though the door does not exist. The possibilities are plentiful.

Innovation comes from limitation. If you go when step further and OVER-power the character, then they become stagnant and boring, since you can count on them always winning. Superman is a good example of that.

Having a tighter power, in this case light manipulation, leaves room to grow and experiment, or to come up with something unique.

Just because the character has god-like powers with no more room to improve, it then more becomes a reflection of self story, like what is the curse to having these abilities, does it kill you physically break you down psychologically? The question then of will the ability to control or forced to surrender your abilities in order to survive, what actions will be taken?

Alchemic Transmutation. Transforming matter like coal to gold, transmutate trees into houses or water into dildos
Able to transmogrify damaged material like wounds or alter organisms be more ... Internally stretchy.

Then again, my super power isn't much for combat. The most I could do is transmute the ground to spikes or ice, perhaps throw dingy fireballs from transforming air. I'd be PREDs, combat medic or butler. Still being able to hold my own in minor fights but cleaning duty and being the teams doctor would be ideal for alchemy.

Or you be the arsenal and transmute weapons like out of thin air., though posed position work to, you be seen as the wizard of the PRED hehe.

That and ability to behave, lord knows how many naughty sexual items I'd conjour up.

Being able turn dirt to gold there must be rulings to follow. Otherwise any valuable matter will drastically lose it's value.

My money flow would be a constant paycheck from the government, not to much but not too little. The naughty things I create would be stored in the Fun Room

Alternatively perhaps the PRED could become more Idd like turn shapeless and be the ultimate form, the ability to be anything and everything, all add to that the PRED having a collective consciousness among the individuals, so thy are anywhere and everywhere at once.
Lastly Ability Photon Solidification, more than just manipulate light in its form also make from radio to gamma rays; this through creative mind filtering manipulation turn light into a solid, the ultimate shield, the ultimate weapon. An if warm blooded creatures the PRED be, than create such forms from ones self, day or night.

An interesting ability would be to seemingly materialize objects at will, mainly by 'borrowing' the atoms of other matter. For example, making a wrecking ball appear by gathering the atoms of other metal objects in the vicinity, or a freak downpour near a river.

I've always thought adaptation (hyper evolution) would be cool. Body reacts to outside stimulus and modifies itself. Stuck underwater, no problem, body grows gills/ability to breath water. Trying to get through thorny bushes and such, skin becomes impervious...and so on...
though body would go back to default eventually once the outside stimulus is gone.

Another option would be assimilation, taking on the attributes/abilities of anything ingested ;)

The ability to change the composition of an object or person. Change to stone temporarily to protect yourself, turn a wall to mud to bypass it, or change a prospective meal into a candy-critter!

Perhaps too powerful given the scope so far, some limitation on it could be more reasonable such as with only certain materials.

Being able to rewind time for a short period. Or just sending a brain snapshot 10 seconds into the past would give the same effect.

That would be a decisive advantage in combat or any other high action situation. Imagine melee combat - one could rewind and repeat every movement until it is perfect. And have flawless response to every possible surprise.

How bout a non lethal crowd controll PRED that just quickly swallows up rioters? He could be moded to have a tranquilizing saliva that would put his prey into a chemical induced coma while inside him, rich enough in oxygen that they dont suffocate. His insides are extremely stretchy and resistant.

Perhaps he can also have an auxiliary gland that would secrete a type of acid that, in extreme cases or dangerous criminals, will dissolve weapons, clothes, etc except living tissue/cells therefore disarming them as they are inside him?

I can imagine them being used to quickly break up riots without putting either the rioters or police in any grave danger.


Yet another variant could be specialized "hunters" made to track down single individuals. They could have have highly developed smell, sight, hearing and speed/stealth. Not as large a storage capacity as the original, two grown humans at most but this is a "search and retrieve" unit. Used in both rescue and fugitive hunting.
