Mostly, stuff that's not going to boil me alive that isn't just t-shirt and shorts.

I have books on pattern making and clothing making. I want to make myself a dress form so that I can start making my own clothing anyway. I can help you do the same once you're out here. ^_^

Adding color and style to a guy's wardrobe is incredibly easy, really. I'd suggest staying away from t-shirts, unless they're printed ones you like.

You can find short and long sleeve button-downs in a wide variety of styles. Usually, I tend to go with tropical or pastel plaids. They go great with any style of pants; my personal favorites are cargo khakis.

Shoes and hats are also a solid source of styles. So are glasses, necklaces, rings, and whatever else have you.

There are a few things I'd love to get my hands on, but I have no idea where to look. Prints are okay but I kind of get a little sick of the super-casual look all the time. Love retro prints and dressy collared shirts, but can almost never find them in my size...though it's easier to find shirts than pants, which are impossible to get mens sizes in my size in this country, so I'm trying to import from america. Being a fatbutt is very inconvinient. Also, pants and long-sleeved shirt styles are gorgeous but highly impractical for australia. I wish there were menswear options for hot countries that didn't look dingy as fuck.

I look good in a hat and rock lopsized earrings most days :3 Shoes are another tricky one because I have odd shaped feet and hate shoe shopping, so probably something I'd have to think about more. Also I'd hate to get shoes before clothing because I prefer to use versatile pairs so I have only one or two to keep track of that look good with all my clothes.

Have you tried looking into polo shirts? I just snagged a handful in lighter, "athletic" style materials. You can find them in heavier materials, as well.

I love them, really. I can't stand t-shirts, because the necks feel constricting. Polo shirts are like a t-shirt, but with a collar and plackard. They're super comfy, and they look dressier than t-shirts by default.

Have you looked into bespoke shops, like Blank Label or similar places? They'll take your measurements and make the ][i]exact[/i shirt you want for you. A few of my friends have bought shirts from them and swear by the quality. The downside is, of course, that you're paying for bespoke. That's for North America, though. You could ask around to see what's available (and good) from China. A number of my friends swear by custom Chinese tailors, and I can back the results I've seen them wear. Either way, if you find someone you should check with them to see how light some of the fabrics they use are, there might be something that's thin enough to be survivable.

You really only need one good pair of brown leather shoes, though, and you are set for life assuming you don't plan on wearing black. Or you can get one good pair of black shoes and not have to worry about matching at all, but style-wise it's generally seen as a rung lower (but I wear black Docs so to hell with naysayers). I've shopped with Zappos, and can definitely vouch for them.

Actually, I am basically xxs (5'4", 120) and the stuff I bought from the lees were waaay too big on me. They're also not the greatest quality, so be warned :T
I've heard a lot of good and a lot of bad from Korean clothing venues, so they may just produce inconsistently.

Inconsistant clothing vendooooors ugh. My girlfriend says Wet Seal is kinda like that.

That's kinda interesting that it's too big, I'll have to look at their sizing charts, but I'm between an XL and a 6XL in shirts (people are crap at sizing fat clothes) so idk.

This is the exact same issue I have every time I go clothes shopping.
It always feels like, to me, that men's clothing varies only in shape, and rarely in style, colour, or pattern, unless you start going into sub-genres or ancient fashions, or do some incredibly deep looking, such as the online stores. Meanwhile, female clothes fashions have about a billion different looks no matter where the hell you turn.
It's disheartening, really =/
