being a douchebag = saying he didn't want to pay someone quadruple what they were worth. Oh Ok

Being a douchebag = Publicly stating that he has no respect for anyone, and could not give two shits about offending people- and then on top of that, throwing it into an episode and making light of it. He's done exactly that with killing off Brian, offending people, and he doesn't care.

Isn't Brian pretty much his self insert? Really he's probably getting off on people broken up about his dogsona's death and will revive him later with a Kenny style cop out.

Spite how much it hurts, that is part of drama and tragedy in a scene. I would like to say let the creator go down that road, after all I really doubt you want to be that one creepy girl from Misery.

yeah y'know that one... It's easier to understand that nothing is really forever and embrace the idea that plot armor or devices like that, sometimes one must reassess why does one watch a show. Is it the frame work and parody that the creator made, or is it just the few characters we idolize.
