Do you want to be published?
SO! We’ve decided to extend the deadline from November 30th to December 30th, to give people a chance to join in! This is an anthology for a charity, so you’ll get no proceeds from the sale, though you will receive publicity, lots of promotion and the opportunity to be spotlighted on at least two blogs, with more than 150 watchers over the both. We will *try* to arrange a blog tour, but if you want to arrange your own publicity for the book, feel free! We can supply, when the book is ready and published, you with graphics for sharing/promoting, and we promise at least one BIG author name for the book.
The charity the funds are going to is Artisan Rarebreeds – a rescue dedicated to the conservation of rare breeds. The money we are raising is specifically aimed at the wolves, as they are an added drain on their funding. There will be publicity offered by these, too, as they are willing to do what it takes to get the book out where it belongs. Showcase your talent and find a place to show off what you can do! We will offer you an ebook version in return for your entry, which you can read through yourself. We will arrange reviews and everything else for you :D
You can enter 4 poems or 2 stories…or 1 story and 2 poems. At least two will be successful!
Now – the rules! (It has to be done, I’m afraid!)
• This is a wolf-themed book. That means NO shapeshifters, wolves that have been transformed from humans, or anything other than four-legged quadruped wolves.
• Magic is okay…as long as the wolves don’t transform (yes, we are strict on this bit, so we aren’t giving anyone leeway!)
• A wolf talking to other wolves or even to other animals is okay – with humans, it’ll be dependent on whether magic was involved in the effort or the world you are working with.
• Please…NO NO NO violence towards humans. We want to show wolves in a positive light, hopefully to teach people more about them.
• Stories have a word-count limit! 1000 words is the barest minimum (we will accept 75 words under, maybe 100 at a push) and 5000 words is the maximum (100 words is the most we will accept over)
• Poems have a limit of 40 lines per poem.
• Keep cussing to a minimum please, and if writing from a wolf perspective…maybe get creative instead of effing and blinding?
• Please, please edit your stories for us! We can run through them, but there’s not much we can do. We can’t afford to pay for a proper editor.
• Have fun! We don’t want this to be hard to enter, but we’re trying to make sure all entries are of a good quality :D
