A young man ponders the depths of his soul,
through the hallways of his mind.
Where memories of his lightened past
are displayed for him to find.
He dances through his happy times,
he quickly sulks through the sad.
He stops to admire his family,
the best companions he ever had.
But then he sees the empty halls,
the passages unknown.
The times that he has yet to live
the life he soon will hone.
He wonders what events he'll see,
emotions he will feel?
He hesitates at thoughts of failure,
making courage hard to steal.
But memories behind him cheer,
his friends and family roar.
His fears all gone, he carries on,
and walks through that dark door.
