I hate them. They're so annoying, ohmygosh. .-.
I just fixed my tablet, which wasn't working for about a week, and last night I get home and find out that my desktop won't work. It won't boot. I have no idea why. I've been gone for a week. It worked fine before I left, I dunno what's going on. My only guess is that somehow the harddrive my system boots from has lost the ability to read or write anything. I can hear it moving., but when I boot from the harddrive I got out of my laptop, that for some reason wont turn on, (I think the batter died somehow. Can't think of any other reason why) I can look and explore through my other hard drives, except the one it should boot from.
It's such a pain. >.<
Why is my luck so terrible lately? ;~;
*Sighs* I hope you guys are doing well. v.v
I wouldn't mind some help with this. If anyone knows more about it than I do.
I'll try to get some arts up soon.
I'm still contemplating whether I should post the doodle I did earlier today or not. <.<

FA+

But next best is the most basic: Check that the connection from your dektop's motherboard to the hard drive is good (since you can hear the drive running, I'm assuming that the power is good.
Open the case, locate the hard drive, and find the cable that connects it to the big circuit board. Unplug one end, then plug it in again. Repeat a few times, and then do the same for the other end. If there's any dust or looseness in the connection, that might fix it.
Then try turning the computer on again.
And, maybe.I'm still thinking about it. .-.
I'm actually just reinstalling Windows on one of my other hard drives now. .-.
Might as well get an ssd to replace it, now that I have an excuse to do so.
Basically, whenever I turn my computer on, Windows 7 Ultimate fails to load from the drive it's should boot from. After it posts it starts to load windows, as it should. But not too long after, the animation for the glowing windows logo freezes, and it'll be stuck like that for what seems like forever. so I have to restart my pc to do anything else. I can send it into recovery mode. But after it says it's loading files, the screen changes to another loading bar for a couple seconds, the screen goes black, which shouldn't happen.
And that's all it really does. I'm not sure why. I just came home and it was like that. .-.
When you used your laptop's hard drive did you plug it into the same sata slot as your normal drive is in?
I ordered an SSD to reinstall my os to, so when that comes, I'm just gonna set up everything again and just use that hard drive as a backup for things.
Also, you're saying you're hearing the drive working- do you mean that the drive is spinning and you can hear the whirr, or are you hearing clicking from it (which usually is a sign the drive is failing)?
Hit me up on e621 when/if you reply so I can remember to check your response- I keep forgetting to double-check my FA >_>;
umm, see my response to the guy above. That pretty much explains it. I'm not sure what's going on, but it only seems to work through the external e-sata port I have on my computer.
I wish I could help but my computer skills are lacking lately haha
I basically got a new hard drive and reinstalled Windows 7 onto it.
The only reason why I haven't been posting much now is that I have a terrible habit of not posting things after I've finished doodling them. ;~;
