December 2013

            Hey its That time again,
we've hit critical mass approaching
the end of the year.
in a few weeks 2014 will be here and people
will be breaking their promises to become better
people. i've always tried to be a positive person
but lately its hard when you have so many haters.
So we'll leave the haters behind this month and
shine bright as ever. they can continue to tell
their lies and and drown in negativity, all so they
can feel better about their shitty lives.
So do you think i can outdo myself ?
i believe in myself, sometimes too much...
But as promised i do have a couple of images to
release this month, and i will do my best to
sprinkle them out. i usually stay so busy
i don't get much of a chance to complete what i've
started. Rather than pick up where i left off,
i shall go forward in a new DI-ERECTION ;3
how do i feel about my art ? well i'm not getting
100% gold yet, but i'm so close, and each art is
getting better, and i can "feel" what i draw and
even better " see " what i want to draw before i draw
it, not completely before the sketch like a jedi,
but more like once the sketch layer is down, filling
in the gaps becomes more natural and i can clearly see
when something looks right and doesn't and i'm usually
creative at solving those problems.
My tip for artists always remains the same,
start by copying your favorite style, don't stop
until you've put in 1000's of hours. Next draw
from what you've learned. Free hand it, sketch it,
before you draw something or commit to draw something
sketch 3 pages minimum... what this does is preps you
for how you want the image to look, also it will
help you with consistency, which as a cartoon artist,
or even panel artist is important.
and the final most important rule, NEVER HIDE THE HANDS!
most artists will do a pose intentionally so they don't have
to draw the hands. When you do this easy out you get so good
yet you cannot draw hands, and it becomes a subconcious
routine of hiding hands to the point to where you don't even
realize you do it anymore. Make sure that every drawing you
do if you can throw some hands in there, do it.
The more Dynamic the pose, the better.
i see a REALLY famous artist on here (FA) and i cruise their
gallery and over 60% of the drawings have the hands hidden in
the poses, they are tucked behind the back, laying behind the
head, even "off the screen" and this person has over 10k watchers,
and then i look at an artist like
 Bonk ,
who isn't quite as popular, and his drawings,
he draws hands, and Draws them REALLY FUCKING AWESOME.
he doesn't do little gimmicky poses to get out of drawing hands.

and For myself, i always draw hands, even in poses where i could
have easily not drawn a hand and been like "its behind the back"
i'll STILL draw them.
Well thats the December post/Rant,
i hope you guys get a chance to spend the holidays
with your Families. Because Family is whats most important.
Meow~y Christmas,
and Happy Howl~idays~!!
As always i love all of you~!
