Fur Fright 2013 my first and last...

it is sad that it is ending... but cherish the memories!

I met you there this year and wish we really got to hang out more. Now I hope to see you at another convention or will have to stalk you and visit.

Furfright will be missed. As it was my very first con. I only hope that it doesn't really stop at 2013 if the rest of the staff can pull together and keep it going. My sympathies for the chairman that's struggling with personal family issues and wish them the best.

Now I feel like I'm going to cry

its sad to hear. i was hoping to try to make it next year. I can think of other cons that should have been swept under the rug instead of Furfright. There will be likely a replacement as MCFC has replaced FCN.

I could just die if furfrught was no more. Like there must be a way to keep it going. Its not the ppl, or lack of rather. If thoes two ppl can't go on, go find two more or somthing. Like it can't be that hard. Without furfright, there will be nno fury cons in the 500 mile radious.

I think all tha happened was the chairman stepped down....kind of a "I just don't feel like doing it anymore" thing but according to twitter and flayrah the rest of the staff or something is trying to brin it back. I don't know all of the details....furfright is too big and too important to just let it go away.

Well we call smarties a candy coated chocolate... Americans call smarties a hard powdered pressed candy..

Yeppers; Smarties in Canada are similar to M&M's but not quite as sweet. They're still very popular though, heck you can get Smarties blizzards at the Dairy Queens up here. :)

It's sad, but from what I'm seeing on twitter it's 2 chairmen have stepped down, a new one may be rising soon, and the con could get a new name and a new location somewhere in CT. So FurFright itself is dead, but like a phoenix a new one will rise from the ashes. Like that big one out on the west coast that died this year too, and FCN.

Just keep your fingers crossed. This is hurting me too, as FF'13 was my first ever fur con, my first time suiting and if it hadn't been for the con I wouldn't have met you or the 100s of other people that are (still) adding me.

FurFright was a life changing con for me. I'll always have wonderfully fond memories stitched into the fabric of my life and Kat's life with me. A new con will undoubtedly replace it, but nothing will truly replace FurFright.

This is so sad We didn't even get a chance to give it a formal farewell...

This is really sad news. With the current state of my work I thought I could make Furfright my new fall con but now it's a big question mark. I'm glad I got to go once, however. I saw immediately that weekend why the con had such a strong following; it was just great in every way.

damn it and I never got to go...... grrrrrrrr

It will be sorely missed. It was a fantastic con. I just hope Belic and K'gra are okay.
