Furries are like being Jews in Hitlers German. Fer serious. More on this later.

I'm sorry, but the "Furries = Jews" metaphor is so full of fail I can't even believe it was brought up. Our "persecution" isn't anywhere NEAR Hitler's persecution of the Jews and a dozen other groups. We're bullied by other social outcasts, because we're social outcasts ourselves. We're not being put into concentration camps for a HOBBY, nor are we being killed. Any threats I've ever heard have been in the realm of joking, and those that haven't been are because the threateners in question are certifiably mentally unstable. (Also, the protesters at AC07 were registered attendees of the con. One has a fursuit. The "threat" wasn't.)
Sorry for the blunt force truth, there. Any threats against us have been made because we as a group deserve it, with some of our behaviors. Or rather, the loud and socially tactless ones among us have given those cyber-bullies a HUGE target. Even the normal ones among us get caught in that target.
Ignore them. Don't be socially stupid in public and call yourself a furry. Or, don't call yourself a furry at all, if you've got an issue with "fursecution." As I said, we're social outcasts. Get over it.

Granted, furries should never bring up the Jews and their persecution anyway. Considering how many of them adore the Ancient Egyptians and... well, you know how they treated the Hebrews...
