Tell me about your favorite albums that follow a story, have a repeating musical theme, or where (at least some of) the songs are strung together!

That being said, it seems to have made a comeback in the hip-hop world as of late and I often wonder what more could be done with the format.
I'd like to see the results of playing The Dark Caster alongside The Wizard of Oz pls
Has it? I don't keep up with new releases much at all since I don't really have any favorite artists in the modern popular scene u3u
As for a more 'serious' concept album, I like Radiohead 'Ok Computer'
I didn't get to experience it fully but I really enjoy the percussive attitude! It's got a very exciting, John Adams'ey sort of over-energy to it
Also every single one of They Might Be Giants albums... they aren't actually concept albums (most of them) but all of their songs are kind of "concept songs" so that equals "concept album" somehow, now don't question me. THMG, do it.
venetian snares -rossz csillag alatt szuletett
arcade fart - the suburbs (plebcore)
kendrick lamar - good kid, MAAd city (lol rap music)
brand new- daisy

gorillaz - plastic beach
nine inch nails - downward spiral

mars volta - any of their albums basically theyre p much all concept albums
the number twelve looks like you - put on your rosy red glasses (my favorite record of all time)
yea thats what i got off the top of my head
An album about sleep paralysis based on this Salvador Dali painting.
It's just beautiful.
A Wizard, A True Star by Todd Rundgren. Known for his hits Hello its Me, and... fuck I forget the other one, but he followed that sucessful pop album with a bizarre prog rock epic. Side one is songs all strung together.
Two of my favorites. There's this other group called aexist or something, which sounds really cheerful and Steely-Dan esque but all the songs are about breakup and depressing things. If that counts I'll try to find the actual album.
