when I was 14 I filled a notebook with lyrics following this story of a child who went from being innocent to bringing about the end of the world after being isolated and bulled, which I called "The Dark Caster". Even my 11 year old brother knew that it was a total rip-off of Pink Floyd's "The Wall".

That being said, it seems to have made a comeback in the hip-hop world as of late and I often wonder what more could be done with the format.

As for a more 'serious' concept album, I like Radiohead 'Ok Computer'

Hm, this is one that I couldn't find a download for, but there were a couple of separate songs on YouTube
I didn't get to experience it fully but I really enjoy the percussive attitude! It's got a very exciting, John Adams'ey sort of over-energy to it

Dredg - El Cielo

An album about sleep paralysis based on this Salvador Dali painting.

It's just beautiful.

Entrance by Edgar Winter. Later known for his blues rock, but side one of his first album is a suite of songs all strung together, jazzy things and all sorts. His voice takes a little warming up to.

A Wizard, A True Star by Todd Rundgren. Known for his hits Hello its Me, and... fuck I forget the other one, but he followed that sucessful pop album with a bizarre prog rock epic. Side one is songs all strung together.

Two of my favorites. There's this other group called aexist or something, which sounds really cheerful and Steely-Dan esque but all the songs are about breakup and depressing things. If that counts I'll try to find the actual album.
