I'm waiting for the next big MMO to come out, but in the meantime I think Guild Wars 2 looks fantastic, AND it doesn't have a monthly fee. :3

I've been trying so hard to resist lately. Mainly because I'm flat broke...

...but also because I've gotten into small league Starcraft2 tournaments that get broadcast on Twitch TV, and I gotta practice if I don't want to suck too bad. It'd be nice to know that my gaming time can be used to actually make me a buck or two if I get good enough. And ya know, that Starcraft is really good for my reflexes/reaction time and quick-thinking abilities. ^^

There's I think maybe 15-30 people on average that tune into the really small tournament I'll be doing first (the second is still undergoing organization) but they always interview the players, so I'll be chatting on stream with some fellow nerds. XD

I haven't been on and you haven't heard from me because I haven't been home! I think I mentioned that in my last journal...been outta state visiting family for the holidays. As also stated: I also realize how much of an excuse this sounds like as well...but yeah, I fly back tomorrow, I have class Tuesday, so I'll probably get the chance to add y'all on Wednesday. I'm doing my best to try and keep up with all y'all on the gaming front but man...even with just Blizzard/Steam games it's rough.

Thankfully winter break is almost here and I'll be able to SC2 and WoW it up with some people. One of these days I'll have a 90 monk. -_-

I played in the FF14 beta and didn't really like it much.

Even with the decline in subs, it's still the most popular game on the MMO market.

It may be foolish these days for a Sub based service, but you can't blame 'em for keeping with a sound money opportunity. :\

I do agree the Sub price should at least go down. Half at least.

I couldn't really see them dropping the sub, or even lowering it anytime soon, I mean they have millions of people paying for it, plus the few other MMOs that still have a sub usually charge the same price. The fact that you aren't forced to spend any other money in the game and the low price of game and expansions themselves, makes WoW still a very cheap and affordable form of entertainment, especially compared to almost anything else.

Saying that, I do hope they'd lower the cost of the paid services, like Faction Change etc, in addition to the sub, they're pretty steep.

They push plenty of goodies as it is! They have absolutely no reason to drop the subscription requirement... at the moment.

They should bring their "annual pass" back. :D

Well I had broke down and started playing WoW once more. Do my dailies in Guild Wars 2 then go over there to do the same. Slowly working on the legendary cloak in WoW.

Despite the fact that I'm still paying for it, I'm only logging on every now and then, struggling to find stuff to do in it these days since I don't really raid beyond LFR, but for someone who's not been on in a while, I can see how there's heaps to do, especially with the next expansion having been announced. I just want them to finally release Connected Realms for my realm, it's pretty dead x.x
