Opinions wanted on some recording ideas

Well I went and got myself an idea, you know one of those thoughts with pictures. I'm pondering putting together a voice acting demonstration tape, the real question is though what to put on it? I've never done one of them before and am not sure what to include. Any suggestions and advice would be welcome.

However, I do have a few ideas on what you could put in there.
Sometimes authors have a few sentences they´d like you to read out in different emotions. I´ve once done an assignment that involved me saying the sentence "I love you" over and over again towards my fellow actor. You could do it in any emotion that you want, in different languages even and just go through the process of emoting it out. I shouted, I cried, I whispered, I said it in three different languages and the emotions were becoming better and better. You could try this on tape and see what comes of it.
You could also find a monologue of your favorite book or play and recreate that in different kinds of emotions besides the one that´s written/acted out. If the monologue is a sad one, try and do it laughingly or jokingly. Perhaps even try it angrily. It´s fantastic to try out and find out where your faults lie as well.
Good luck! I hope this was at all helpful.
