Help start a CON!
Yep, that's right. For those who haven't heard the news, Furfright has gone through it's last year. For those who have been to this con and loved it, as I have, we are all very sad to see an end to an age, but it had an awesome 11 years, and a new group of furs, part of Furfright's old staff, are trying to pick up and start a new con where Furfright left off, and keep the tradition of a New England Halloween themed furcon going!
But they need help to get on their way, and secure hotel space for the new convention! To find out updates and how you can help, keep an eye on Bios' page, and check out this journal...

The con chairs have their own private reasons for having to stop running the convention, and explain in their LJ post why the FurFright name will not be carried along with it.
Also, not all conventions operate the same way, just as not all businesses operate the same way! Sometimes, personal issues are more important than "doing it for the fans," and I think that was the case with this.
I know all the people I talk to who are involved with the now-unnamed Connecticut convention are going to make the new con the best it can be, and I've already volunteered myself to help with things in the Dealers Den, etc. We'll see what happens.
