On the fence about going to Further Confusion in 2014?
Maybe we can help you decide.
Many of you already know that there is nothing like Frolic anywhere. A fun, fast paced, high energy, fun, social dance club environment. Further Confusion is our local convention, and once again we plan to bring Frolic down to the South Bay to coincide with our favorite convention. And this event will be even bigger and funner than our regular event in San Francisco.
Now you can go to so many furry conventions and get alot of the same experience, but none of them will have anything like Frolic. Further Confusion is still having it's dances, full of great djs, kick butt light shows, all the fun stuff you know and love and experience at every major furry convention. But quicker than it would take you to get back to your hotel room, you can bounce back and forth between the FC dances, and our event which is unlike anything you can get anywhere else less than a block away. Combined with the fact that Further Confusion is the only large furry convention with an official party floor, you know that this year's FC will live up to it's reputation of being the THE furry convention for those who enjoy the nightlife.
So make your plans, book a room, book a flight, register with Further Confusion right now, and plan on coming out and enjoying Further Confusion, and stop by our party on Saturday night. And stay tuned as we release the details of what we have planed for our fun event, which will surely top what we did last year!

But how will transportation between FC's host hotels and Frolic work? Will it be close (but there is not much around the Stud!)?

The OP mentions that it will be "less than a block away," so I'm assuming most people will just walk there.

That means they're holding that month's Frolic in San Jose, by the convention center. I guess info will be forthcoming, if that's the case.
They usually run 2 Frolics in January: the normal San Francisco Frolic, and then a special FC Frolic. The FC-Special one is typically very close to the FC Con space.

It's super close, not even a five minute walk away from the main con hotel :)

Our normal event on the Second Saturday will be held in San Francisco on the 11. The is for a special one time event on the 18th, which will be in San Jose. It's less than a block away from the convention center. We have not arranged a shuttle because it is closer to walk from the Marriott to the venue (same one as last year), than it is to walk from the Marriott to the Hilton or any of the other overflow hotels.
