The Usurpers were once part of the civilized galaxy, but something inside them made them leave and colonized the Galactic Core. No-one knows what caused it, but they are out to fully conquer the galaxy and throw its governments into anarchy, because they think its the most suitable form of stablization.
-An Oltanian Rendition of the Usurpers.
The Usurpers weren't much of a problem back in the Galaxy's history. They did start to cause a problem after the First Galactic War back in 2790 GRS (0 AIW). The First Galactic War caused massive uproars across the galaxy mainly in the Republic due to the lack of protection it had during the war. Many worlds along the border were swingers and could've fallen to either side. However these swinger worlds were also the center of the battles that took place. One major turning point that may have started it according to Republic Historian; Vincent Shgui, The Cataclysm of Oakutarui (1). A major event that made the galaxy shock mostly those that had loved on Oakutarui when the disaster hit. This event was said to be the smoking gun that made the Usurpers rise.
Post First Galactic War, the Galaxy was in its recovery state. The Republic in shambles after a spy of unknown origin assassinated the Herrence Family Line (2), the same family that helped regulated 64% of the Republic's trading industry in the outer territories and the successor of the Florence Royal Family in the Republic Executive. Many people believed the assassination of the Herrence Line was belief to be a Usurper move to throw the Republic into chaos and turmoil, however when investigation went into the murders not one clue was found to tie the murders to the Usurpers. It remained a mystery to the galaxy. Till they emerged during the Galactic Cold War. At first it was a small attacks confusing the Republic and Oltanian forces, soon it started to become more organized. Till it reached a breaking point.
The Usurpers attacked the Korus Hyperlane bordering the Republic and Aridian, they created a wedge severing the M41b arm of the galaxy from the rest of the galaxy. The Republic reacted along with the Aridian Navy to drive the wedge out, however the campaign would only be a worthless and a costly one. The moment both forces appeared at the severed hyperlane section, the Usurpers quickly jumped out and retreated back to the newly claimed Galactic Core. The Republic tried their scout out the territory but due to the Galactic Core’s closely bunched location it was hard to navigate. Till this day the territory remains highly uncharted, maps that were obtained from the Usurper Manifestos were quickly outdated due to the Core.
Today, the Usurpers are still mysterious, they have been seen occasionally in the Republic and Oltanian Territories, they appear to have an easy truce with the Aridians since they are commonly seen in their territory as well. The main concern of the Usurpers have sparked paranoia in the galaxy, but not to an extent like it did with all wars combined.

However after the Florence Family resigned their term, the convoy containing Herrence Family mysteriously exploded on its way to Chancellory Towers. The Convoy along with the family crashed into the UnderCity leaving no survivors.
