my power is out :(

ScottishFurThere's been a load of horrendous storms around here and now my power is out and from the looks of it, it'll be a while before its repaired
I'm using a laptop, and have only about an hour and a bit to be on it. And to be honest I don't think I'll be online that much today. Unlike my brother, I can go without internet or a computer for a day (he grows grouchy and morose when he can't go on DOTA 2).
My only complaint is that I can't get writing again without my computer. I write only with my computer because it saves on paper--which I use for practicing drawing or for university study. It's a lot less messy
Also I want to apologise for not making many journals or anything lately. Its been a tiring few months and a bit frustrating too. More drama has occurred with a watcher who basically told me I was racist for not liking Final Fantasy and for not wanting my character in an anime style.
Somehow I don't think disliking Over The Top animated features from Japan is racist...the characters are fictional and are just drawings used by a company to make money. Plus its a bit rich coming from someone who bases every character, design and prose in their gallery on video games....everything. That's just boring and generic.
Its stuff like this which makes me go on my rants about weeaboos and stuff, which I know a few are bored about now....sorry about that D:
It just makes me feel better to open out and talk about these things with other people and see their point of views. And no, this is not trying to bash or attack someone. Though I do question the behaviour of individuals. Why use something from an existing franchise when you can create something new?
Plus why go the route of really bad anime (the bottom of the barrel kind) that treat characters like sex toys? That's just bad....and low.

I hope to get back into the writing phase again, because I really have gone back into a swing occasionally. x_x

its just over zealous fans like this that get me in a knot. Screaming random Japanese at people and being annoying....and creepy.
Though anime in general is a fantasy--its fiction. So its not all Japanese. Oh and he also screamed racist when I said Final Fantasy characters all look very similar...in the fact that they all look perfect.
and I hope so too :o

Just tell them "YOU will never actually be Japanese" and they will flip their shit. But it's worth it! I mean, if they're pissing you off, you have every right to retort if they won't listen to reason.
I didn't think Final Fantasy characters look perfect at all, but if you look at some of the drawn art from Final Fantasy VII, you can see that Cloud, Aerith, and Sephiroth all have the exact same face. XD
its no fun when your characters all look like super models.
we Scots are used to the cold....most of the time
well I don't mind anime styles of some types like Ghibli. And I like the Disney like styles or toony and fun styles--characters that look fun :D
in animation, the visuals can tell the story as much as dialogue...and in some anime there tends to be a lot of static talking/shouting. That and they're stories feel a bit erratic at times, e.g. there's one anime about a super robot girl who retires after fighting something called Saint.....and then it turns into the usual dull maid to a wimpy dweeb...and lots of boobs D:
That just feels strange o_o

I don't hate every anime....I just really hate some and the actions of weeaboos and otakus treating them like gold. D:
they seemed to have dropped in quality recently. There's not a lot of imaginative ones out there. It tends to be a gaggle of girls in highschool, or a dweeby boy surrounded by hot ladies ....pretty much anime fluff.
personally I have my hopes up for Disney with their latest film Frozen and a few new Pixar movies too
Some animes do random very well, they are able to incorporate it into a storyline (however convoluted) and make it "make sense" within the realm of the series. The ones that are random for the sake of being random are the bad ones and they are, as you said, unfortunately plentiful.
And that's really where Disney started in Snow White and I think they're focusing now on getting back to their roots from their 90's movies.
Well even then I still am not very sure about watching them. D: its liked diving in a tank full of reef sharks, you know they're good but you're still nervous :O
I like to be adventurous in my watching with anime, so I do tend to find lots of crap XD There are good ones, like I said but if knowing what you want is your style of watching, that's cool too.
