I reported all the copyright violations for a friends OCs because I know the artists didn't give the F-list user permission and showed how only the commissioner had permissions to upload the art so they contacted me back politely and apologized saying to relay the information that it had been taken down and to let them know if anything like that happens again.

Sad thing about being an artist is that people be like "omg this character so hot i wanna be him." and shit that they steal it thinking that the artists/ owners wont care.

No worried Nedo this is bound to happen the more popular you get. i cant tell you how many times people have tried to do sick stories/rp with alexicus.. im like dude wtf. So if you have a problem get your character saved. so it will be faster for the admins to report it and remove the character.

They probably think of art as a toy. because its something thats not really important to them. So they think they can just take any character they want like some true morons.

They honestly don't care. I discovered someone on that site using a piece of artwork I commissioned of my twin servals and someone was using them, saying they were domestic house cats -_-

I asked them to take the picture down, but I think it's still up there. I try not to let it bother me, since I don't rp and have no clue what other characters might have gotten stolen, but it kind of makes me feel violated

The worst is that those people dont even know the character itself, just saw it probably in some random place and thinks nobody is going to notice. But trully the worst is when somebody copies almost fully the background history and personality of your character but adds their own stuffs saying it's them, or give them weird names o.o

I had the same thing happen to me on F-List. Someone just took one of my pictures and changed the colors a bit. I took care of it but I wondered why someone couldn't just design their own character.

I've had that problem a LOT. It sucks and F-list is the asshole of the internet for it. They make it so hard to take shit down because they want you to prove this way and that that you own the art.

How about people have to prove that the art is their's in order to upload it? Jeez.

I had the same problem, its nuts ugh.

I only know one person who uses F list, but thankfully anytime they want to make one of those chars they get it commissioned specifically for that rather then stealing other people's stuff.

At least they didn't use your sona, say it was them and then link the artist to your FA page and tell them thats you. Get the art and then disappear without paying. leaving you under a $100+ dollar blame. Honestly though, It's things like this that creep me out and makes me sick. You'll never know what's gonna actually happen and the fact that they use your art/characters to get off to their own sick will is just wrong. You DO have someone that finds these bastards for you at least but the problem is getting the stuffing kicked outta them for using things without permission. Just seriously... Yikes.
