Oh, I see you have the Lucifer Effect and World War Z on your wish list. I've read both of those. I highly recommend the former, though the latter is a fun read. I blew through it while I had some downtime in the field.

Hm, y'know, I've got my copy of World War Z sitting right here, and my book shelf is getting pretty cramped. I could mail it to you, if you don't mind a used book. It's still in pretty good condition!

Just a new mechanical keyboard, since the venerable IBM Model M (nearly 23 years old!) is finally starting to show some damage. It's partly my fault for removing the buckling springs for cleaning.

It's expensive, but I figure if money is to be spent on a new one, it may as well have everything I want on it. No sense in dropping dough on something I won't be 100% satisfied with, even though I appreciate any gift just the same.

I have a similar keyboard, and I paid about the same for it. It's very nice! Quite audible too—very clicky. They're excellent if you're into gaming, since they prevent key ghosting.

Hopefully it works out for me. I went with Cherry MX Brown switches since they supposedly offer a similar feel to my buckling-spring keyboard. I gotta have the quick action of a mechanical keyboard for my typing style and for Minecraft. It'll be really nice not to have to use Windows's on-screen keyboard to supplement my typing since I have a few dead keys (like shift and space).

Your space key is dead? That's intense! Yeah, man, get that thing replaced right away. XD

Nothing, to be frank. If I was being really crazy? Maybe a ticket or something to go visit people not in the US. I don't want anything though largely because I have no expectations.

I don't have any expectations, but I still have desires! I'm sure a Buddhist would tell me that's a bad thing though, haha.

I really don't have need of anything! It's been so hard for me (much less my entire family!) to articulate what we want for Christmas because we kind of grew out of wanting material things. We're just as happy bullshittin in front of the TV with a bag of chips.

Plus the thing is, I tend to lean towards practical gifts, it's just that I don't know what else I could need. xD

Starting when I was young and growing stronger as I've matured is a discomfort with asking for gifts. It hurts to see others you care about, and who care about you, burdened by guilt for lacking the means to buy whatever it is you ask for. I just buy for myself what I most want and can afford and, if pressured to make requests, come up with something simple, very low cost, and meaningful enough.

I don't expect anyone to get me anything. In fact, I try to discourage my mom from buying me things, as she has a very generous side, but doesn't have much money. I don't need a whole lot anyway — most of what I have on my list is just educational — but I still find it festive to make the list. Thinking back to my birthday in September, I was just really happy that so many of my long-distance friends remembered and acknowledged it. Though,  neive was still able to get a couple of those videos on my current wish list for me. That was a pleasant surprise. She's so sweet. :3

A large reason why I've been asking people what they have on their wish lists is to see if I can help fulfill it in any way. I know I'm not obligated to do so, but it's the season of giving, right? I might just get the chance to brighten someone else's Christmas — and in fact, I've already found that I'm able to do so for at least one person, if you check the earliest comments here. :D
