it is seriously the worst feeling and super frustrating because I can't will myself to do it for more than 20 seconds at a time???

http://veganplantlady.tumblr.com/po.....l-have-a-tummy This shit right here makes it easier on your back, exercises your core a little better, and is generally easier for me to do in 30 second chunks than holding a plank for a minute. Just make sure you're doing it right and stretch your back out after (I usually do a few light yoga poses) and it's super useful!
Also, get a book to read and a timer if you have trouble holding for that long! It helps to really distract yourself.
