I really would like to play Starbound (beta) with friends, but it seems I cant get anyone interested enough to play with me on Steam. :3 Really sucks playing alone and getting bored of playing a game solo! Seems there are no servers up or anything either. :/ One of the games I have been extremely excited about, since Terraria's recent update.

It is 100% possible to have friends connect to your game or another's game. All the host has to do is click Launch Starbound Server and then have his or her friends connect to his IP whether he is playing the game or not, the host has to click multiplayer and join his own IP. Basically hosting a server is leaving a game open for people who know the IP to join whether you're playing or not.
