Puppet has never had a real tree growing up and the fake ones make her break out so I promised her this year we would get a real tree.

Dad was suppose to let me borrow the truck and having asked him earlier in the week if I could use it this weekend I made plans to use it Sunday. However he tells me it's full of wood he has to drop off at my brothers and then I was welcome to use it. Problem there!!!! My brother is notorious for talking shop with my dad and he always indulges him so I figured no way was this gonna be a fast trip so, after measuring the back seat, I decided to take the car instead and just stick part of it out the window.

We went to our local Kroger (a grocery store here on the east coast) and I selected a nice looking one from the bunch then attempted to put it into the car......it didn't fit :/ so I called dad and asked if he could stop by with the truck so he did and off for home we went.

After a bit of searching I found a suitable stand and set about setting up the tree.........it won't fit!!!! WTF I thought cuz this was advertised as being a 6 foot tree and I know our ceiling is 7 feet. I got the tape measure out and sure enough it's an 8 foot tree. >.< So I'm gonna get the hacksaw and make some mods so it'll fit.

What's Christmas without a little entertainment. XD
