OKAY GUYS.
I know i havent been posting much at all (other in lyx's jounral, L O L, as they say on the internet.)
But this month i think i wont be posting anything EVEN IF I GET ANYTHING DONE.
Why? Because that fucking banner is disgusting and it makes me rage, also: its tastless and im tierd of this place.

Sorry if it sounds rude. 95% of the anti-banner journals complain about it, and 95% of the comments in the journals are composed of people who agree. The other 5% are people who like the banner.
So I figured I'll be the .001% that well yeah. They post a comment with RAGE like everyone else, but its a good RAGE. A RAGE that provides a solution.
Obama says he'll bring along change. That doesn't mean humanity can stop doing it themselves.
Also: I don't really mind seeing it my self i just mind the dumb decision to pick a banner like that.
The banner should represent the site/fandom right?

This site also includes fat furs.
So here's a semi cute semi funny banner representing one section of the site/fandom.
Because fender and rednef is a mascot - he doesn't represent this site and it's quirks and community. Nor does he represent the whole fandom. So really, anything regarding fender shouldn't exist either, I guess.
Not to mention each banner is based on the holiday or the season or month we are in.
Unfortunately this site encompases artforms of various furry artist, visually, musically, verbally, and textually. Can't say I've seen a banner talking about that.
Well, the ART of the banner kinda reflects that, and I suppose the words "furaffinity" kind of warrant the textual art but.. That's a rather piss poor representation, too. Just saying.

What a awesome representation of the furry fandom. Yes fatfurs exist. But they are a minority, they dont represent the fandom.

I mean war people who are exhausted/hurt in the movies did that. I guess they're gay (in the event of two men doing that) people having seks. Or perhaps just wanting to be close, instead of sticking together, watching each other's backs.
I guess the boobs on Rednef which are the PG13 stuff you'd see on most "child safe" female characters that are drawn with them make it that way?

Then there's disgusting points.
Now let me remind you it's all up to the person viewing it. My views of disgusting stuff might not be the same as yours:
When it's drawn again and again by the same person for personal satisfaction/pageviews, THAT's disgusting/ugly.
When it's drawn for the sake of them fucking or some other sexual reason, same thing. Disgusting/ugly.
If it's drawn to emphasize a joke I've seen who knows how many times - that's funny/cute.
If it's drawn once in a while for a cute reason, then it's funny/cute.
But let me remind you: This is the same thing as with America's Funniest Home Videos.
This is the same thing as those people that find kids picking their nose is hilarious and me and others find it disgusting.
This is why people find anything with babies or tiny animals hilarious, yet others find it boring.
Tasteless is an opinion.
"Sexual" is a general description agreed by several people, when used like you use it.
Unfortunately I fail to see how this generates a sexual undertone.
Then again it's probably why I fail to see this same sexual undertone in other cartoons with simmilar situations (or ones that would be regarded as "similar". I guess that's why I fail to find it when Shaggy and Scooby eat a lot of shit and continue eating. They don't always get fat but when they did, sometimes grinning, asking people to join and smirking. Gee. That didn't see sexual at all.
Yet two characters, representing FURRIES and not HUMANS, that are resting on their back, looking CONTENT, not looking at anyone, not looking devious or whatever. Yeah. Differentiate between a fetish and a playing on a joke.
Of course if the artist's general choice of art gave you this impression, I kinda see where you can say what you say.
And if I'm wrong and the artist DID intend to show sexual stuff. Well I feel it should be taken down. Unfortunately I don't see it.
Then again, at least this image doesn't sneak pictures of naked people in there.
Like a certain PROFESSIONAL, FAMILY FRIENDLY COMPANY. Oh yeah. I'm talking about Disney.
