R.I.P. Qasil

General
My lizard of nearly five years, Qasil, has passed away. Her death came suddenly; just yesterday she was happily basking in her favorite basking spot and snuggling next to her mate Cherooko.
She was a western fence lizard, and well past the average lifespan for these small lizards. I hope that she had as comfortable and happy a life as it was long.
I named her Qasil because it was the Chumash Indian word for "Beautiful." Even though her colors faded with age, she was still beautiful to me.
Here's to you, Qasil. I hope there's mealworms and someplace warm waiting for you on the other side.

I know what it is like to loose a pet. I am sorry for your loss. As hollow as those words sound they are all i can offer.

Thank you. Your words really do mean alot to me. I'm just shocked she's gone.

That seems completely and utterly random. Do you know what caused it?

She was breathing heavily this morning, and at first I thought she had some kind of an obstruction in her throat. Then, she was gone.

my pet lizard bled to death one night while i slept, he had popped off his tail and while he was growing it back, he tried to pop it off again and it clotted and popped during the night, i know how it feels to lose a beloved lizard
