Need a new 3DS

This happened while FA was down, so here's a sort of retroactive update:
So, update on the 3DS thing, because there's more to the story. Turns out that when I was putting it back together, I snapped the piece that connects the wireless antenna to the wireless card, so I couldn't get a wi-fi signal on it anymore. Got a new wireless antenna off of eBay and put it in, and it works. But now the sound doesn't work.
Fuck it, I'm just going to take this excuse to get a 3DS XL. The longer battery life will be nice.
Put some things on eBay and they sold for around $130 total. And the local GameStop said they'd take my old 3DS despite the sound issue (they'll refurbish it, apparently) and when I asked if I could do the system transfer to the new XL in the store, they said that would be okay. So yeah, after I get back from vacation with the family (we're leaving this Saturday), that's the plan.

A lot of people really seem to hate GameStop blindly, but I've never really had a problem with them.
Heck, they even let me play my ocarina in the store! With customers around!
I have more to say, but I'm waaayyy off the journal's subject already.
But GameStop does offer more in trade-ins, and while I rarely trade things in (hence that not really being a factor for me), I sort of have to here.
I did call them earlier today to ask about this specifically, and she said that the manager who was on-duty today said it would be okay, but I'd have to ask whichever manager's on-duty when I go in next month.
In the meantime, at least my 3DS works, and I did just start playing "Riviera: The Promised Land" on my Vita...
