Despite the fact that I don't go out of my way to complain about things on this site, especially to the admins, on general principle, the banner is still mank =O. It's like a lot of things in the fandom, they look like little puddles of horror but you generally keep it to yourself because otherwise you'd be treading on other peoples' fantasies and the things they enjoy looking at. So we've got a little subculture that operates via constantly treading on eggshells as you're wary about what poor sod you're going to offend by every statement you make. Well, either that or you don't give a shit and just be honest about what you think, regardless of how many patronising journals show up telling you which side of the fence you should be sitting on if you want to avoid being labelled retarded.

I think the banner is ugly as shit, but then I don't actually mind either because the drama that has resulted from it being ugly as shit has been very entertaining. That and the fact that fatfur art is typically many times more awful than the banner is, so it's actually of a very good standard.
