Honestly, I think they could mix really well- I don't think homosexuality is sinful and I know several gays who are Christians.

It's just that people don't want to mix at all…. it's much more fun to yell at the other side and claim you're better than they are.

You know what ticks me off about it? WHO THE HELL GIVES A CRAP ABOUT SOME RANDOM DUDE. it's ridiculous, so he has an opinion, why don't tv stations do what they used to? Put disclaimers stating that the opinions expressed don't represent them as a station.. I mean, just like Paula Dean.. she used a racial slur... MOST PEOPLE HAVE at some point in their life, let it alone instead of making it a huge deal.

The interviewer asked him what he thought about homosexuals, so he told them………. So yeah. Oh, and yeah, I've seen tv shows use disclaimers a lot, especially whenever there's anything religious in the program, heh...

It isn't all about homosexuality. He also said that black people were better off under Jim Crow laws. I think A&E did the right thing. They have a brand to protect and they can't let loose cannons go off tarnishing their brand.

Here's the quote

He's making a statement on welfare, not the Jim Crow laws. He's just talking about his personal experience- I'm sure he knows that blacks were mistreated but he didn't see that.

As a Christian who has been on the receiving end of "tolerance" from the Left, I can sympathize completely with Mr. Robertson. A&E, as a private business, is wholly within their rights to decide what shows and who they want to have on their channel. It is alarming how quickly they reacted to the political pressure to silence and destroy Mr. Robertson for his thoughtcrime as brought by groups like GLAAD. And the fact that groups like GLAAD think that they have to silence anyone who disagrees with them that has a public platform is very alarming.

Tolerance is quickly becoming a skin deep phenomenon. There is no tolerance for different ideas. This is the poison of political correctness rearing its vile head.

On a side note, I heard that in New jersey the Left pulled their own gay marriage bill so that they they could strip out its protections for religious freedom at the request of activists. Seriously? Have we no respect for our neighbor anymore?

True. And perhaps he shouldn't have said that. I just think his final word is more important, and I'm upset that it's not being shared. He actually had a good positive message but the media doesn't like that, so they took the most negative things they could get and started trumpeting it out as loud as they could, when they could have actually tried to help bring people of differing opinions together, instead.
