So most of you *probably* know it's almost Christmas. I wish you all the best and Happy New Year too. My resolution was going to be ... learn how to change the oil in my car so I don't have to pay other people to do it, but that's probably not going to happen.
I feel I've made a lot of progress with my work since I started posting more frequently. When I look at my gallery I scroll down the no-even-one page in my gallery and there's that pretty bad stuff I did over a year ago. Particularly the first post I made. Normally I'd really like to delete these things as I go, I really want to, but I do think it's interesting how rapid the change is. For the artists I really admire, I like to go way back in their galleries. I like to see how fast their style forms and the stages they go through, normally it's in the first 2-4 pages, then they kind of nail it and start refining from there as they go. I was a point lots of you seem familiar with, the "art block", that can go on for a long time ... When I started I just really had to force myself to do it, even as fast as possible, just to get something started. Then I did a few more and stopped for a year.
Also the reason I've been able to post more work more frequently is because of the support I've gotten through commissions. Thanks to those people very much, I would really love to continue making entertaining imagery. Favs also help spread my work so I also thank every. single. fav. and watch. it all helps. <3
