I once thought the same as you--but I've since come to the conclusion that without a clear alternative date, it is dangerous to simply presume that Jesus was not born on Christmas Day, on December 25.

I made the statement in the journal out of ignorance of any actual arguments, but instead what I was educated off of. I still had the doubt and thus included the "more than likely."

Thank you for saying so! I've read some of his books and found them fascinating--he's mentioned both the Jewish and Roman origins of Catholic Christianity.

I understand--I once thought the same way, and I actually had arguments. But, you live and you learn.
