Looking back and thinking about how I've been handling commissions on this account and I've come to feel like I kind of sold out.

I started taking commissions not because of the money (mostly) but to draw for people and improve the quality of my art as a whole; To get as much mileage as possible. However, I let my pride in getting art out quickly get the better of me and I wound up trying to crank out piece after piece after piece and it burned me out and the quality of my art suffered and I worry I may have alienated people in the process.

Next year I will try and focus on quality over quantity and less on trying to get as many commissions as possible. No more trying to crank out art as quickly as possible, ESPECIALLY when money is involved.
