NO PARENTS ALLOWED 2013 was the year I finally, finally got my shit together socially and emotionally. I'm still working on the independence factor, but I'm confident that I'll develop that in 2014. So basically I wanted to write a big journal about my experiences this year, the friends I've made, and all that gay LOGO shit.
Solidified My Major: In early 2013, I took and passed my first sociology class, and thanks to my wonderful teacher and the wonderful topic of sociology just being plain awesome, I finally settled on a major for college. Which means I have an idea of where my life is going now.
Became A Student Leader: I became an officer in my classmate's International Languages Club in late spring semester. Apparently, he liked what I did in those last three weeks enough to make me president of the ILC. I'm still trying to get stuff together but I'm confident that this presents a great opportunity for me.
Started to make more music: In 2013 I learned how to sing while playing the piano, something that pushed my composition in a different direction. Where previously I was writing minimalist, Yann Tiersen inspired instrumental music, I began writing piano soul songs and emo/sadcore stuff. I reached the three years of playing piano mark. And I started my first band. It's called Public Universal Friend and
is the other bandmember.
Made More Friends: I made a lot of new friends this year who are really, really important to me. So like that shit happened??? These include but are not limited to
I care a lot about these ppl and stuff. Also, I started talking to ppl more at college and hanging out and stuff. I'm emotionally and socially where I need to be rn.
My self image improved: I got to where I stopped caring about the way I looked and I'm benefiting from it greatly. Also, I don't dress like trash anymore, I dress like a garbage dump. Which is a good thing I promise. Also I've been getting haircuts that do(n't) make me look like a drangus and I've accepted the bara life.
Bad things that happened: I went through two major periods of emotional down. I had a lot of control over it but I was really angsty. Being angsty helped me to write a few songs though.
