I hatched a shiny chatot, my fave Pokémon, on my 42nd egg
Just some proof that the method still works. I recommend having a Pokémon with Flame Body at the first slot in the party eg. Talonflame

I have a dream of hatching a shiny rotom.. One day.
But I did chain and catch a shiny zoroark two days ago!

My friend got a shiny on their 4th egg.
I've only got 2 shinies so far, one from chaining which took just a chain of 1 and then the shiny patch appeared and then the Chatot.
I think I'm just super lucky.
